School Hours

Arrivals

• Students may not arrive to school before 8:15am, there is no supervision for students before 8:15am.
  
• Only students who are registered with Champions may be signed in to Champions from 7:00am to 8:15am.
• Breakfast is served 8:15am – 8:40am.
• From 8:15am - 8:45am, students should be dropped off at the car loading area only. Please do not drop off students at the bus loop or in the parking lot.
• The warning bell rings at 8:40am.
• Students must be in their seats and ready to learn at 8:45 a.m. 
• Students who arrive after the 8:45 a.m. tardy bell must be signed in to the front office accompanied by an adult.
  
• If you sign-in a student later than 11:30 a.m., the child will be marked as absent for the day, unless a doctor’s note is provided  

Dismissal

• Dismissal begins at 3:00 p.m. (Wednesdays – 2:00 p.m.) 
• Early sign-out must be done before 2:30 p.m. (Wednesdays – 1:30 p.m.)

Early Sign-Out

• Any person signing out a student early must bring identification to the front office.
• The person signing out the student must be a parent, guardian, or someone authorized on the pick-up list for the student.
• Only parents or guardians may add other people to a student’s pick-up list.
• If you sign out a student prior to 11:30 a.m., the child will be marked as absent for the day.

Car Riders

• Car riders are released to the cafeteria at 3:00 p.m. for dismissal on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Car riders are released at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesdays.
•  Killarney staff members will identify drivers and will assist children when entering their car. Please remain in your car and pull through the car rider line at a slow speed.

• Killarney car-rider signs will be distributed to help identify drivers and to expedite the dismissal process. The car-rider sign is required and must be placed on the dash on the driver’s side. 
•  If there is not a Killarney car-rider sign displayed, the driver will be asked to show identification for pick-up. If the individual in the car is not on the approved pick-up list, the child will not be released.

• Students will enter the car on the driver’s side to keep them out of the road. 
• If necessary, students will be escorted to the passenger side by an adult.
• Parents are not allowed to walk up to the cafeteria door for pick up. 
• Drivers must use the pick-up line if the student is a car-rider. 
• Please be courteous and keep the line moving by driving forward when the car before you also moves. 

*Please note that all car riders must be picked up by 3:15 p.m.*
After 3:20pm, parents will be contacted for an estimated time of arrival.

Walker and Bike Rider Procedures

• If your child is a walker or a bike rider, you may meet them at the benches in front of the office. Students will be released at the front gate.
•  Please notify the school if your student is permitted to walk or bike home by themselves.
